This lecture describes the concept of “moral elevation” as a positive emotion that can be elicited with technology to facilitate trauma recovery in Veterans. Findings from several studies are presented to describe how Veterans with PTSD and moral injury respond to moral elevation with videos and web-based approaches. Additionally, recommendations about how Veterans and providers could use this emotion to enhance clinical outcomes are discussed.
